HIS HOLINESS DR JAGANNATH PATNAIK- HIS SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
His Holiness Dr. Jagannath Patnaik appears as a Guru of the highest order and a spiritual scientist, an avatar of yoga for the modern age. Dr Patnaik was born to his parents on the 27th July 1966 (this day was considered to be auspicious Rath Yatra day of Lord Jagannath (the deity of Jagannath Puri in Orissa). His parents and relatives had the sacred darshan of Lord Jagannath appeared inside his mouth at the very first day of his birth. He is considered to be the reincarnation of Lord -an Avatar Purusha.
Dr Patnaik manifested utter mastery of the yoga science of meditation at his early childhood days. By a touch, a word or even a glance he would awaken others to a greater awareness of God’s presence or bestow the experience of super consciousness ecstasy of disciples who were in tune. Many disciples have even experienced the healing touch of miraculous cure. As with all those rare souls who have come on earth as saviours of humankind, Dr Patnaik’s influence lives on. His followers regard him as Guruji. He came with god’s love to awaken hearts sleeping forgetfulness of their creator, and to offer a path of enlightenment to those already seeking happiness and love.
Dr Patnaik had his early education at Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Educational organization in the village Muddenahally under Gurukul system (the birth Place of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Vishweswarya) near Bangalore. During the time, he had further attained mastery in yoga, philosophy and religion including spiritual practices. Dr. Patnaik is being blessed and initiated by His Holiness Maharishi Yogi and many Gurus of Himalayan Region and of Southern India.
Dr Patnaik has a dual role on this earth- a professional career and a spiritual master. His name and activities are uniquely identified in education and spiritual field. Recognizing his spiritual healing and philosophical teachings and devotion, the Lama Gangchen Peace Foundation honoured him with the title ‘Lord Pundit’ and the Grand Award of International Natural Medicine in the year 2001 to commend his outstanding contribution made to the development of world natural medicine. He had the privilege of receiving International Leadership Award by Queen Noor Hussein of Jordan the Chairperson of International Leadership Academy of the United Nations University for the international peace and understanding. Besides, he has being honoured with many accolades and Honorary Doctorates from various National and International Universities and organizations for his outstanding contribution in peace, leadership studies, education and international understanding. Prominent organizations and universities include International Association of Educators for World Peace-an UN affiliate USA, The Global Peace University-The Netherlands, The Global Open University for World Peace-Italy, The Open International University-Sri Lanka, American Coastline University-USA, Universite Des Libre Sciences, Paris and Indian Institute of Human Rights, New Delhi.
Dr Patnaik had traveled many countries including Middle East as a member of UN peace leadership team and was actively involved in the peace negotiation in the Middle East.
Dr Patnaik has a dream project to establish an Advanced International Centre for Human Consciousness and Research at Pune in Maharastra where he would like to constitute the teachings of yoga, Vedic philosophy, religion and faith studies, spiritual healing, literature and culture for the benefit of people and sufferings that will enable them to adopt a healthy living, create positive thoughts and learn yoga and philosophy.
